Anne Graner, assistant principal
My name is Anne Graner, and I am honored to serve the Oak Grove Middle School community. I began my career in education at Oak Grove Middle School as an eighth grade math teacher, and couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to return. Prior to this position, I was an administrative dean at Valley View Middle school, an Assistant Principal at Winona Middle School, and most recently, an Assistant Principal at Prior Lake High School. I received an undergraduate degree in math education from University of Portland, a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in St. Paul, and an Education Specialist Degree in Administration from St. Thomas.
I look forward to again work alongside the dedicated Oak Grove Middle School staff to support students and families, build relationships, and assist in delivering the best education and experience possible for each Oak Grove student.
John Polhill, dean of students
My name is John Polhill and I am honored to be the next Dean of Students at Oak Grove Middle School. Prior to taking this position, I was teaching fourth grade at Westwood Elementary School in Bloomington, so I am very excited to see some familiar faces at OGMS. Before moving to Minnesota four years ago and starting in this district, I lived in Chicago, IL, and taught for 15 years in the Chicago Public Schools. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and my masters degree in Educational Leadership at Concordia University in Chicago.
I am very excited to be working alongside an amazing administration in Mr. Ingemann and Ms. Graner and also the outstanding staff at Oak Grove Middle School. I have heard so many wonderful things about this staff and school and consider myself very blessed to be a part of this building. The students and families will be my number one priority and I look forward to meeting you all at some point throughout my tenure at Oak Grove Middle School.
